About the site
box916 was created on the 22nd of september 2007 by Sonja.
This is supposed to be a sreencap archieve for mostly the three tv series Heroes, Gossip Girl and Gilmore Girls.

Where does the name come from?
I chose box as a name because the whole screencap idea reminds me of a box with photos in it.
9/16 is the date when I capped my first screencap ever.

The idea of box916
first was born when opposites-are-polar was shut down and I didn't know where to get Gilmore Girls caps for my artworks.
Shortly after that I watched the first season of Heroes and just loved it.
As there aren't many places to find screencaps of a new televison show like heroes was, I started capping the episodes myself.

This stuff is for free but please hold in mind that I put time and work in these screencaps and I think that is worth a little bit respect ;)


This homepage is still at its beginning so don't expect too much from me.
Capping a 40minutes episodes needs like an hour.
To rename and sort the caps doesn't take long but to upload them all takes over a day if you are not not doing anything on the side what I always am.
